Back to School

It’s that time of year again. The boys are back in school! Although I had a great summer hanging out with them, it’s nice to have a routine to get back.

Felted Soaps by The Twisted Purl
With all the extra help this summer I can officially say we are all caught up on Felted Soap orders. This is the first time in over three years!!!  I’m stockpiling like crazy in preparation for the fall rush.  To my fantastic retail stores thank you a hundred times over for your patience while waiting for orders. I’d love to get to a place where I can just ship your order right out to you and we are finally moving in the right direction.

New yarn is still coming in daily! Above is Rustic Merino Sport from the Queensland Collection. Check it out in our online shop.

Below is a work in progress from one of our customers. She is making a scarf out of Uluru. I’d love to see what you are working on. Stop in and share!

In addition to yarn we also have these super cute key fobs! You know you want one for your project bag or keyring.

The last few weeks of summer have been interesting and fun and BUSY. As things wind down and those wonderful routines settle in you’ll start to notice the whispering’s of fall. Cooler weather means crafting y’all!!!
This guy was on my bumper the other day reminding me I need to hop to a few things.

Grand Opening Celebration

this Saturday, June 20th, from  9-6 our grand opening celebration is happening! We’ve been busy putting up the yarn and getting things just perfect for you.

So much great yarn has been coming in. I’m really excited for you to see the selections.

Hope to see you then!

Crawfish, Beer, and Yarn oh my!

Brady with Crawfish

The family and I went to a crawfish boil yesterday at the lovely house of one of my husbands previous crew members.

The crawfish was tasty and the beer was oh so refreshing on a muggy day.

Needing to BYOB, we stumbled upon an excellent liquor store in Sherwood. Thank you Siri.  107 Liquor rocks! Their staff is super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We mentioned heading to a Crawfish Boil and they recommended a beer made in old crawfish boiling pots with the seasoning. Saison d’écrevisses. Perfect compliment to the feast.

Sunday was all about yarn. While catching up on missed tv shows I made five new handspun yarns.

Hope you had a lovely holiday weekend!
