Well color me inspired!

Oh the weather has been gorgeous and I’ve had some lovely new yarns on the the spindle! The colors of spring have been nothing but pure inspiration for me. We did have some very rainy weather but one day it gave way to a beautiful rainbow. The colors never cease to amaze me. I always find inspiration in my surroundings.

As we all know Pinterest is a great place for color inspiration. I can find glimpses of the far away and the exotic and recreate them in the colors of my yarn.

Just a little magic spinning on the wheel.

Y’all Come See Me

It’s almost time for the Conway Handmade Market!

Here are some of my creations you can find this Saturday.

Felted Dryer Balls
These felted dryer balls act as a natural, re-useable fabric softener. The help reduce drying time and have no chemicals to irritate sensitive skin.
sweater soaps
My newest creation – Sweater Soaps!
Felted hair clips and brooches
All of these hair pins and brooches are made out of colorful bits of leftover felted bits of fiber. They were so pretty I just could bare to throw them away! They make a great unique fashion statement.

And now for the lovely, lovely handspun yarn!

I’m Coming Up

So we’d better get this party started!

Hello, my fellow yarnaholics!

I’m coming off a great show in Memphis. It is always so much fun meeting the fans of The Twisted Purl in person and making new ones.

“You like me! You really like me!”

Thanks so much to the amazing Mid South Market Media Group for putting together such a great show. We were put right across from the tasty cupcakes from AnnOlivia’s Sweet Shop and were tempted all weekend long. So much for my diet! Every calorie was worth it. Yum!

We were also right next to the Wine Garden. Hello!!! You know that made me one happy girl.

Spring Market. Memphis Wine and Women

Have to give a shout out to the lady who came by while I was spinning and said “Wow! You get to sit here, spin yarn, and watch all these drinking people.” Yes, and it was glorious!

Lastly, I have to thank my Mama. She went all the way to Memphis with me to help out in the booth. Told her it was the volunteer state after all. Couldn’t have done it without her.

And since we are talking about events let me tell you where I will be next.

Etsy Little Rock presents: 5th Annual Indie Arts & Music Festival – Saturday, April 25, 11am-6pm
On Kavanaugh, from Spruce to Walnut, Hillcrest, Little Rock, AR

Little Rock Etsy Indie Fest 2015
I am so excited to once again be a part of the Indie Arts & Music Festival by the Etsy Little Rock Team. Etsy is place for finding handmade from around the globe. Way-back when I started the original Arkansas Etsy Street Team and it’s just exciting to see where this group has gone from it’s humble beginnings. So come spend the day enjoying local makers and musicians from this part of the Natural State showing off their creative talents and see how they contribute to the Handmade Story.

There’s also another surprise and BIG announcement around the corner. But you’ll have to wait. I know, as Tom Petty says, “The waiting is the hardest part.’
